Contrary to what Adrien Broner posted on Instagram on Wednesday morning, the fighter isn’t stepping away from the sport.

Ravone Littlejohn, who runs Broner’s About Billions promotional company, told USA TODAY Sports that the fighter was just joking around, as he’s known to do.

“I don’t think I’m (going to) fight again, sorry if I let anybody down who look up to me,” Broner wrote. “I’m done with this (expletive)!!!!!

LittleJohn said that Broner was actually headed to L.A. Fitness to work out and is preparing to return to the ring.

Broner recently served 30 days in jail for arriving late to a court hearing related to charges stemming from an altercation outside a bowling alley in January.

The four-division champion last was seen in the ring for an easy win over Ashley Theophane in April. Broner said after the bout that it would be his last at 140 pounds, and that his next fight would be contested at 147, where he once held a title.

Broner (32-2, 24 KOs) has no fight scheduled at this time.
