Irish based Cuban Mike "The Rebel" Perez says he wants to shut Tyson Fury's "big mouth" following the English heavyweight's win over American Nicolai Firtha in Belfast last weekend. Perez steam rolled his way to the International Prizefighter title earlier this year to stretch his perfect record to 16 straight wins and he's confident he can do the same to the much hyped Fury on the Manchester man's next scheduled outing on November 12th.

In the buildup to the Firtha fight Fury, the reigning British and Commonwealth Champ accused Perez of ducking a fight with him, a claim that has infuriated the Cork based southpaw. "Why would I not want that fight?," said Perez. "It's easy money and a chance to make a lot of people happy by knocking him out and shutting his big mouth. Fury is just like his fellow countryman David Haye, he talks the talk but he doesn't deliver. Fury's promoter asked about the fight a few weeks weeks ago when he still didn't have an opponent. I said yes straight away and asked them to send through a contract but we never heard any more about it.

"He says he's fighting again on November 12th so come on, put your money where your big mouth is and make a real offer this time. I watched the fight on Saturday night and it was a joke, it should never have been stopped. Fury was in more trouble in the third round than Firtha was when the fight was stopped in the fifth. "It was great to bring the Prizefighter trophy back to Ireland," said Perez. "I love living in Cork and the people here have adopted me as one of their own. I dream about bringing the World Heavyweight title back to Cork and I'm currently going through the process of applying for Irish citizenship. I hear big mouth talking about fighting for Irish titles and basing himself here but it takes more than wearing a GAA jersey for 5 minutes or sticking a tweed cap on your head to become an Irishman. Having not fought since his Prizefighter victory in May Perez says he is eager to get back in the ring and continue his road to the World Heavyweight title. "I was due to fight myself earlier this month but opponents are definitely running scared," said Perez. "Its frustrating because I don't want to waste my time and the fans time fighting journeymen. Since I won the Prizefighter my team have made genuine offers to established heavyweights like, Kevin Johnson, Fres Oquendo, Johnathon Banks, Jean Marc Mormeck, Jason Estrada, Travis Walker, Derric Rossy, Vinny Maddalone and Mike Mollo but I haven't bee able to get any of these guys in the ring with me.
